Project Budget
The budget/investment for La Petite Plan, which ranges from 6 to 15 days of on-site consulting per year, is based upon the following expenses and consulting fees:
1. $3,500 per day, per consultant on-site.
2. One consultant can work with up to 50 teachers per workshop. Ideally, the groups should be 15 to 25 teachers working with one consultant. This allows for maximum individualized assistance and support for each teacher, which will result in higher levels of learning, in less time.
3. The only other costs are for consultants' travel expenses which include prepaid business class airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation while on-site and a per diem of $75/day for meals. We do not charge consulting fees for travel time, but do charge per diem for days of travel.
4. A one-year contract is all that is required.
5. A deposit of 50% of the consulting fees is due upon signing of the contract.
The exact cost for this project will vary depending upon whether we are working with the entire faculty or part of the faculty (for example, only working with the elementary OR the middle or high school teachers), the number of days of professional development provided each year, and the number of consultants.
While bringing in fewer consultants, or fewer days per visit, may be less expensive in terms of units of currency, the number of consultants working with the faculty is directly proportional to the effect and speed of implementation of the project. Fewer consultants are equivalent to reduced rates and effectiveness of shifting paradigms, greater time in designing quality curriculum, and more time to implement the desired change. The greater the individualized attention and support each teacher receives - the faster and higher quality is the change. Very much like the sample rocket launches - sufficient thrust is required in order to escape the gravitational pull of traditional methods! Remember the research on effective professional development.

The Deeper Learning Plan is customizable. This plan calls for a 3 to 5 year contract. Due to the level of support provided the consulting fees are greatly reduced from those of La Petite Plan.
Depending upon the level of support selected, from the programs selected to the number of consultants and the amount of time committed to the project, the consulting fees will range between $1,500 and $2,000 per day, per consultant, depending upon the number of days agreed upon in the contract.
The Deeper Learning Plan includes a much more intensive and comprehensive move into becoming an authentic 21st century school. This plan includes on-site as well as virtual support, synchronous and asynchronous. It includes the development of a variety of critical Expert Teams among your faculty which will support and teach each other, thorough Documentation and Evaluation of the entire project, the support of PLCs (Professional Learning Communities), Leadership Development and support and much more.
